DSA was thrilled to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of 32 Marion Street with the Brookline Housing Authority, the largest affordable housing development built in Brookline in more than 50 years!
Located in the heart of Coolidge Corner, this new 115-unit community nearly doubles the number of deeply affordable homes on the former Colonel Floyd Apartments site while meeting rigorous Passive House standards. Designed with sustainability, accessibility, and aging-in-place principles at its core, the six-story building provides high-quality housing for senior and disabled residents in a vibrant, transit-oriented neighborhood.
Projects like 32 Marion Street demonstrate how thoughtful design can expand housing opportunities, support community needs, and advance ambitious sustainability goals.
Congratulations to the BHA and all of the partners who helped bring this vision to life! BLW Engineers, DeVellis Zrein Inc., Souza, True and Partners, RBLA Design LLC, Wellesley Design Consultants, Inc., Delphi Construction, Inc., WaypointKLA, Inc., Building Evolution Corporation, and CLEAResult.
