A new facility for TILL in Watertown, MA

Watertown, MA, October 7, 2010- Davis Square Architects, Inc. is currently working with Toward Independent Living & Learning (TILL), Inc. on a new facility in Watertown, MA.

TILL is a human service agency that supports individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, mental retardation, mental health, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, emotional problems, and brain injuries. They currently rent space in a nearby building, but the organization hopes to have its own building, one specifically catered to their users and programming needs.

The approximately 16,000 sf facility will include a Day Habilitation Center, meeting rooms and a gallery space to display and sell crafts created by their participants. The building design features materials such as cedar siding, aluminum windows, cementitious siding, and corrugated metal at the entry.

The project is hoping to begin work before winter of 2011.
