Jefferson Park is the renovation of two abandoned historic buildings for affordable housing. This project was designed to meet U.S. Department of Interior’s standards for historic tax credits. Davis Square Architects worked with MBL Housing and Development, and the owner- Valley Real Estate, to get DHCD tax credit approvals.

The project results in 32 units of housing, a completely reconfigured accessible unit in each building, and a laundry room in the former retail space in the Jefferson building. In addition, the site was radically transformed. The rear decks of both buildings were demolished and will be rebuilt; ramps will also be installed and landscaped.
