Davis Square Architects teamed up with HRI for renovations to Auburn Court as well as the addition of 3 Brookline Place, a brand-new LEED for Homes Platinum and ENERGY STAR®-certified building within the existing development. Occupying a strategic location between Cambridge’s Central Square, University Park and the neighborhoods of Cambridgeport, its close proximity to public transportation and educational institutions make the neighborhood a highly sought-after community, where rents have steadily increased.
3 Brookline Place features eight new units that provide affordable, high-quality and beautifully designed sustainable housing to households earning below 60% of area median income. 78 apartments underwent extensive renovations in fully occupied buildings during the restoration phase of the project.
