Davis Square Architects is currently working with the BT Group on the redevelopment of 185-191 Geneva Avenue in Dorchester, an underutilized site that will be replaced with a new five-story building containing 27 mixed-income rental units. Working with the natural grading of the site, the building will ascend toward the neighboring streets behind, with its height becoming visually “lower” from grade to roof while knitting together the existing neighborhood context.
Located only steps from the Geneva MBTA Commuter Rail station, bed.rock.geneva's inclusive transit-oriented design accommodates pedestrians, persons with disabilities, bicyclists, transit users, and motor vehicle drivers. The project also features a community room and green design elements, and will help invigorate the neighborhood by bringing more activity and people to the area.
