Heritage Common Apartments

The Heritage Common Apartments represent a distinctive neighborhood of modern, convenient housing in the center of Lawrence, MA. However, numerous construction details caused premature failure of the building envelope and systems. Davis Square Architects worked with the neighborhood and the owner on the renovation of 140 units in eight affordable apartment buildings. The scope of work included site upgrades (regrading, new site structures, landscape), exterior envelope renovation (new windows, doors, siding, attic insulation), mechanical equipment upgrades (all attics), and interior renovations (converting seven units for accessibility and 75% new kitchens and baths).
